PGI (Protected Geographical Indication)

Lesvos Gold Olive Oil has won numerous awards, including the gold medal at the Athens International Olive Oil Competition in 2017, and the silver medal at the London International Olive Oil Competitions in 2016. and 2017.

The olives used for its making are of the variety "Kolovi", also known under the name of "Valanolia" or "Mytilinia", harvested exclusively on the island of Lesbos. This variety of olives has the characteristic to grow on rocky soil, and with an altitude which can reach 600 meters. The broad root system allows the transport of essential nutrients that give this oil an exceptional taste.
