Gigantes, giant beans from Feneos 500g

These gigantes are grown in Feneos, Corinthia. It is worth noting that it is one of the most emblematic legumes in Greek cuisine as it is the main ingredient for various traditional dishes such as baked gigantes with tomato sauce or giants with sausage.

The Feneos gigantes are a special product thanks to the cultivation technique, the microclimate and the soil of the area, but also to the tradition that is passed down through generations.

They are an extremely good source of tryptophan, fiber, magnesium, folic acid, protein, potassium, iron, copper, phosphorus. The proteins they offer in combination with other proteins of animal or plant source, satisfactorily cover the human needs for essential amino acids. About half a cup of giants provides the body with 7g of protein equivalent to 30g of chicken, fish or meat.
