Boutari

The company Boutari Winery was founded in 1879 by Ioannis Boutaris in Naoussa, Northern Macedonia with the aim of producing and marketing quality red bottled wine. In 1906 the first privately owned winery and retail wine cellar was built in Naoussa. The first Greek red bottled wine "Naoussa Boutari" will be produced and bottled in this winery.

Today it has 6 wineries in Greece (Attica, Goumenissa, Crete, Naoussa, Mantineia and Santorini) having the opportunity to experiment in the viticultural sector with the acclimatization of varieties in the most suitable areas, thus developing a complete range of products.

Its wineries allow it to actively participate in the viticultural, cultural and socio-economic development of the areas in which it operates.

In 2013 the historic wine Naoussa Boutari receives the biggest and most important distinction in its long history, from the world-famous, American wine magazine, "Wine Spectator" , which distinguishes it among the "100 best wines in the world" for the year 2013. The American "Wine & Spirits" magazine honors the Boutari winery with the great distinction "Winery of the Year 2018", a distinction that is awarded to it and continues to rank it among the 6 best wineries in the world that have been distinguished for over 18 years among world winemakers colossi.
