Pastourmadopita or pita Kesarias

First, preheat the oven to 180°C.

Slice the tomatoes and remove the seeds.

Cut into slices the kasseri cheese.

Grease the baking dish of 35 x 25 x 5 cm preferably, put the first layer of filo well oiledOil another 6, let them overflow the dish.

Next, lay all the pastourma slices evenly over the surface.

Add the kasseri slices and tomato slices.

Cover with six oiled sheets of filo dough, pressing them together to adhere

Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame and/or black sesame seeds. Make 3 or 4 slits across the top 2 or 3 layers of filo.

Bake at 180°C for about 40 minutes. Let cool slightly, cut into squares, and serve warm with a salad or yogurt dip.
