Hilopites are traditional Greek pasta in a flat shape, which look like tagliatelle. This recipe with tomato sauce is very easy to make and very tasty!





Ingredients
- 500 g hilopites
- 1.5 kg peeled and chopped tomatoes
- ½ cup organic olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- chopped parsley
- grated cheese
Utensils
- 2 saucepans
Making
Put the tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and sugar in a saucepan and cook for 1 hour on low heat. Then remove from the heat and add the parsley.
Cook the hilopites in boiling salted water for the time indicated on the package (around 8 to 11 minutes normally).
Drain the hilopites, pour on them the tomato sauce and add grated cheese or simply pepper, as you like.
You can also serve the sauce separately.
