Psarosoupa is a fish soup for cold days during the winter. It is a special dish with plenty of vitamins and very much loved by the Greeks !
Ingredients
- 1.5 kg fish
- 8 cups water
- 2 sliced onions
- 2 carots cut into cubes
- 2 celery cut into cubes
- ½ cup olive oil
- 4 medium potatoes cut into cubes
- chopped parsley
- salt
- pepper
Utensils
- 1 cooking pot
Making
Trim the fish and wash it. Cut it into thick slices.
You can use frozen fillets of white fish.
Pour the water into the pot and bring to the boil throw in the vegetables except the potatoes. Then salt and pepper and add the olive oil.
Let it boil for 45 minutes. Reduce the heat and when the mixture is simmering, add the fish and potatoes.
Simmer another 15 minutes. Serve hot with a little lemon juice.
