Cover the chickpeas with hot water and let them soak overnight.
The following day, strain them and cover them again with cold water and bring to a boil. Remove the froth if it is necessary.
Drain them again, cover them with cold water. Then add the finely chopped onions and simmer for about 45 minutes or until tender.
Add water if it is necessary.
Then add the olive oil and salt.
Let simmer for a few more minutes.
Finally, add lemon juice and pepper.
You can add a little bit of parsley.
